Thinseal
Coldmac Thinseal, a cold applied asphalt surfacing, is produced by the intimate incorporation of petroleum bitumen and graded naturally occurring rock. Designed for application to low traffic volume sites, Thinseal is ideal for;
As an obvious tarmac alternative you can expect substantial savings, both in the short and long term, by using ThinSeal. With its very competitive rate per square metre and high durability of the material it is truly economical compared to conventional materials.
The application process is non-disruptive to the general public, quickly and efficiently laid by our expert personnel and having a curing time of only 20 minutes in temperatures of 5°c and above.
Coldmac Thickseal is a mixture of 5mm to 8mm graded igneous rock incorporated into a fluid suspension of bitumen emulsion.
The process is designed to enhance any severely deteriorated and/or irregular surface by the addition of a buoyancy agent which is added to the mix recipe to support the aggregate in the material.
ThickSeal is capable of providing complete coverage to substrates having excessive texture depths and/or potholes/depressions to depths in excess of 25mm and will provide a regular, even surface.
The versatility of the material allows treatment of footways etc., which previously would only have been considered after extensive and costly preparatory works.
